They constantly need to be told how great they are and they often exaggerate their accomplishments and abilities to get that praise. Stay calm and don’t react when the narcissist is bragging about themselves or making false promises. This will make them think that their behavior is working on you and will only encourage them more.
Narcissists are very secretive individuals; they like concealing the truth from others because it makes them feel powerful. Internally, they believe and feel one thing while attempting to persuade you of the exact opposite. They will go to any length to keep their small and large lies from you because they want you to believe who they show themselves to be.
