Number 2: They respond to criticism as if you threw acid on their face.
You could just breathe differently; that is also perceived criticism by such an insecure personality type. Why so? Because they are shame-driven individuals; every emotion they could ever feel gets boiled out to only one emotion, and that is shame, which also makes them shame-avoidant. They’ll do everything in their capacity to avoid feeling it. So a small feedback, I mean you don’t even have to criticize them; you could just suggest something that is different to the way they are doing things or to the way they are thinking about things. You may suggest a small change in their perception, and that will trigger them to launch an attack against you that brings out their animalistic side, and they tear you apart.

You are not able to recognize them at that moment; you feel like something has taken over because the anger is uncalled for; you don’t know what has happened, and that scares you so much because you don’t know who you are dealing with. Since they exert no control over their actions at that moment, they justify, they twist things, they sometimes physically abuse, they break things, they become extremely rigid; you can’t even talk to them; there’s no one to talk to.
