Number 4: Bragging.
And the fourth example of a text from a narcissist is a lot of bragging.
They do a lot of bragging about their accomplishments, all the things that they’re doing, how everybody else is so stupid, how everybody else was inept at work, and how they were so smart. They talk about how they came up with some innovative thing, stopped something from happening, saved tons of money for the company, or whatever it is that they have done. They’re just, in the text messages, constantly bragging, bragging, bragging about their own accomplishments and how everybody else is so inept or stupid. So that can definitely be an indication that you might be dealing with a narcissist.
Number 5: They Send Lots of Pictures of Themselves.
And the last one is that they send lots of pictures of themselves.
You get tons of pictures of this narcissist. And it’s not pictures of other people or things that are going around them, or even asking for pictures of you. They just believe that you must want tons and tons of pictures of them.
They may send pictures of what they’re wearing, where they are, what they’re doing, or simply pictures of themselves without any real reason. The conversation can start to feel less like they’re sharing something with you and more like they’re constantly seeking your attention and admiration.
They may also expect you to compliment them or respond positively every time. If the conversation keeps coming back to their appearance, their activities, or how they want you to see them, it can be another indication that you’re dealing with someone who is very focused on themselves.
And so, that could definitely be an indication as well.
