Narcissists will check your social media accounts from time to time to see what’s going on in your life and ensure that nothing is happening behind their backs. They may even have someone checking up on you for them, or they may do it themselves. Narcissists might also make a dummy social media account just to test you. They may even message you through that and flirt with you to see if you are loyal to them, which is an unacceptable move to play in a relationship.
And when you take their bait, narcissists will confront you and lash out in anger, unaware of what you did wrong. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t flirt back at them. Narcissists would still make a big deal out of it. Imagine what they would do if someone else messages and flirts with you. Now ask yourself if you can handle this toxic relationship with them.

Number 4: Through tracking devices.
If your narcissistic partner has access to your car or phone, they could use these devices to track where you go and what you do. That is especially true if they are worried about cheating or want to ensure that you aren’t seeing someone else without their knowledge. But for narcissists, it also serves as a way to feed on their needs for control. They want to know where you are at all times, and they may even use this information against you.

Narcissists might also use it to control your behavior. For example, if they don’t want you to spend time with certain people, they might call or text while you’re with someone else just to let you know they can see what’s happening, which is a form of threat and intimidation toward you. This move from them makes you feel bad for spending time with a friend or family member. Narcissists will not care about your feelings, even if you cry because that might be their goal in the first place, to make you feel worthless without them.
