Number 8: Someone who calls out their behavior.

Narcissists are Masters at putting on a facade and pretending to be someone they’re not. They will lie about their past, accomplishments, and emotions to get what they want. They are immediately threatened when someone challenges them or calls out their behavior. Narcissists want to be seen as perfect, anyone who challenges them threatens that image. They are not interested in being called out and don’t want to hear you say that they aren’t perfect.

Narcissists are unable to handle any criticism, they get extremely uncomfortable when it’s personalized and directed at them. They’ll do whatever they can to shut down the conversation as quickly as possible. Narcissists want to be the center of attention, so if you tell them that something they did wasn’t okay or call them out, they’ll get angry at you for doing so. They don’t like being said no or having their Authority questioned in any way, which is why narcissists run away from these types of people.

Number 9: Someone independent and self-assured.

Narcissists run away from people who are independent and self-assured. They want to be the center of attention at all times, they want to feel like everyone’s best friend and don’t want to help anyone else to have that role. Narcissists want to be the one who is sought out for advice, help, and support; they want everybody to be dependent upon them so they can feel like they have that extra power over them.

Independent and self-assured people do not need anyone to make them happy or treat them well. They do not worry about what other people think of them because it doesn’t matter, and if someone tries to bring them down or make them feel wrong about who they are, independent people don’t fight back because they believe they deserve their time or attention anyway.

With this type of person, the Narcissist will have no control and power over them. They avoid people with emotional depth, empathy, warmth, and sensitivity; they are an absolute Terror of people who threaten them with the truth. If you have one of these qualities or know someone who has, you will be less likely to be a victim of a narcissist’s abusive treatment. Therefore, the best way to deal with a narcissist is to be your complete self and refuse to fall for their manipulation tactics.
