10. You won’t have time for yourself.
Do you notice that you no longer manage your time well because all you think about is pleasing your narcissistic partner? When you are in love with a narcissist, you will slowly realize that you will devote all your time to keep their attention and affection. You will start to lose time for yourself and barely think about spending time with family, friends, or hobbies. As narcissists take advantage of your time for them, you will soon experience being controlled by your partner.
9. You ignore the advice of your true friends.
As time passes, you start to ignore the calls and invitations of your family and friends, even their advice for your own benefit will be ignored. Your subconscious self will be irritated by the advice you receive from your true friends. You will also think that your narcissistic partner will always be right. Your love will blind you by not listening to your family and even closest friends.
So be sure to search deeper for your feelings and try not to shut out your true friends and family. Have you encountered someone who is so much in love that they barely have time for any other person except their partner?
8. You keep secrets.
There are things that we may want to keep to ourselves at the start. One of these could be a new relationship, especially if you feel your family and people who have known you a long time won’t approve. When you’re in love with someone who only cares about their own happiness, you will soon be distancing yourselves from your circle of friends, in an effort to keep this person.
As you don’t tell your family about your relationship with a narcissist, you will then stay away from your true friends and family. It’s better to keep in touch with them all the time because if your relationship goes south, you will need them in the future.
