Narcissists want to know precisely what is happening and don’t like surprises.
If you’re with a narcissist, they will probably be the first person to check their phones when they get into the car or at a stoplight. They want to know what’s happening all the time. This is true because they’re so insecure. Narcissists want to feel like they have complete power over their environment and the people around them. They don’t want anyone to question their authority or decisions, so they’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that happens.
