 How immature can they get? Not speaking to someone who has offended you is normal. Sometimes, when one makes a person feel bad, they take time apart from each other to cool down and avoid a fight. However, a narcissist’s silent treatment is quite different. After you tell them that they are narcissists, they get all mad and do all sorts of things to get back at the empath.

 But when you try to reach out, they use the silent treatment to try and guilt-trip you into feeling terrible for what they have said. In doing so, the narcissist draws their victim by making them work and beg for their approval once more. Most of the narcissists who do this are the silent or introverted types who like taking control of others through subtle mind games and manipulation.

 5. They will spread rumors and lies about you.

 What do they gain from spreading lies and rumors? The right question is not what does the narcissist gain, but what do you lose? Narcissists are vengeful and spiteful people who love seeing others lose more than seeing themselves win. Another reason why it can be really dangerous for an empath to tell a narcissist that he or she is a narcissist is because of a narcissist’s total disregard for other people’s feelings, and the truth itself.

 They will not hesitate to spread lies and gossip about you just to get back at them. People who piss the narcissist off by confronting them can wake up the next day with broken relationships and their reputation in the gutter.
