2. I don’t trust you!
The second thing you can say follows on nicely, and it’s I don’t trust you. If you believe a narcissist, then you are more likely to trust them as well. The narcissist knows how important it is to have the trust of the people around them. That is how they get away with a lot of the mischief they get up to.
Your trust is essential to the narcissist. So if they know they have lost your trust, this will be very distressing to them, and it would make them very uncomfortable because every word and action will be in question. And the covert narcissists cannot function in such an environment and will be trying desperately to get out.
The covert narcissist especially needs their fake persona to be believed but more importantly, they want the trust of the people around them, in order for them to be at ease so that they can focus on carrying out their evil intentions.
3. I’m not impressed with you!
The third thing you can say to a narcissist, which will rock their world and destroy their fake confidence is, I’m not impressed with you. The narcissist’s aim is to present an image that is not only trustworthy but impressive.
The narcissist lives to impress others. They want you to recognize and acknowledge their accomplishments. They want you to be in awe of the things that they have managed to achieve. What a narcissist does is more for the attention and praise of the people around them. So if after all that you are not impressed, this will destroy the narcissists. They are already secretly not satisfied with everything they have accomplished and that’s why they keep going for more and more. But any devil can get a qualification! A good character is of more true value!
