Number 4: Narcissists lie a lot.
One of the biggest red flags with narcissists is their tendency to lie. They lie a lot. They might even tell you that they’ve never lied before, but if you dig deeper, you’ll find that their stories don’t add up. Narcissists might not even be able to remember what they’ve told people in the past. They often have difficulty distinguishing between what’s real and not, so it’s uncommon for them to make up stories about themselves or other people.

A narcissist will also probably have a lot of excuses as to why they can’t do something or why things aren’t going right. Yes, we all lie sometimes; narcissists do it because they feel superior and don’t care what others think and feel. By lying, they can also get away with things, even mistakes. If they can get what they want by lying, they will do it.
Narcissists don’t care who they hurt and how much they hurt you. They don’t care if you’re upset or angry with them when they lie. In fact, that’s what they always want, to get a hold of what you feel. This is more than just a red flag, I believe that narcissists will never change. They thrive on lies and manipulation. They don’t care about your feelings, and they only want to control you. If you’re dating a narcissist who lies or manipulates you, it can be hard to spot at first, but if they keep doing it repeatedly, it’s time to cut them loose.
