Number 9: They will manipulate you to take responsibility for them.

If you’ve ever felt like your narcissist is trying to make you feel guilty for their actions, it’s not your imagination… Narcissists are experts at making others feel responsible for things they’ve done and they do this because they want to be in control of their relationship. They think making you feel guilty can force you to be more committed to them.

Narcissists will blame you for their actions, making it seem like everything is your fault. They will use guilt-tripping tactics to make you feel bad about yourself, so they can continue using and abusing you. If you notice this behavior, it may be time to consider getting out of their relationship since they are already done with you.

Number 10: They will spread nasty rumors about you.

When a narcissist is done with you, they’ll try to destroy your reputation by spreading nasty rumors about you. They’ll tell their friends and family that you cheated on them, stole money from them, or did something awful. They’ll start talking behind your back and making up lies about how terrible of a person you are. Narcissists might even go so far as to accuse you of things that aren’t true or try to make it look like they’re the victim in this situation. They’ll tell people that you’re crazy and that they don’t want to be around you anymore. Narcissists wish everyone to think of them highly so they can feel better about themselves.

These are one of the most common signs that what you have with a narcissist should end already. If any of these have been going on for a long time, your narcissist is unwilling to address them… They may already be done with you. Narcissists simply wait for the appropriate time to leave and end their relationship, so the sooner you become aware of any of these, the more likely you are able to move on rather than becoming trapped in an unhealthy and toxic relationship with them.
