 Narcissism exists because of the effects of trauma and early experiences. Narcissistic characteristics are sometimes inherited from childhood context, which is generally marked by idealized parenting and excessive pampering. Most narcissists are born with an oversensitive temperament, growing up with unrealistic expectations from parents. They are being excessively pampered or overindulged by family members or friends.

 While they may have reasons to exist, we can’t deny that narcissists can be cruel, heartless, and malicious, and they want you to know that. They hate themselves so much that they lash out at their loved ones- the people closest to them. You can give a narcissist enough love to make them trust you or to allow them to forgive your human flaws. A narcissist swiftly discards any worth you may have once you prove that you are a flawed human. Pretty mean, right?
