2. Someone Else Wants Them To.
The second reason you may decide to give a Narcissist a second chance would be because someone else wants you to. It could be a parent, friend, or some other influential figure who likes the Narcissist. But what we need to realize is that they are not the ones who experienced the abuse or unkindness of the Narcissist, so they cannot understand why you all do not have a relationship anymore.
And sometimes, people go against their better judgment to please others. And they start changing their thoughts towards the Narcissist and figure that they should indeed give them a second chance. When it comes to giving second chances, no one else should make that decision for you. So, even though to them it doesn’t make sense, it is not about them.

3. They Are Still In Love With The Narcissist.
The third reason someone gives a Narcissist a second chance would be because they still love the Narcissist. No matter how much the Narcissist may have hurt or betrayed them, they still care for them deeply. There is nothing wrong with that. The problem arises when you are driven back into the arms of your abuser.
In this instance, we have to learn and accept that some people should only be loved from a distance, especially if being around them and showing them that love will only make them abuse you more. Love them enough to know that your love cannot change them and love yourself enough to keep yourself out of harm’s way.
