2. You Can Trust Me (I’m a Trustworthy Person)

 Narcissists will say this in quick time as if you grew up with them or something. They love to tell people this because that is what they want to happen in the shortest amount of time possible, and they think by saying it, somehow automatically makes them trustworthy.

 When the Narcissist knows you trust them, they start pushing your boundaries, lie to you and manipulate you every chance they get. Narcissists think everything should be done in their time. They become infatuated and obsessed with their targets very quickly and they want you to do the same. Thus, we have the love-bombing, which is a high-pressured, time-consuming, overwhelming attempt to make you fall in love with them.

 But what is also interesting is that many Covert Narcissists actually tell their targets that they will make them fall in love with them. And marketing themselves is one of the major ways they do this. They sell themselves as having the positive qualities and traits that we are looking for. They would make promises to love and care for you. They say many good things about themselves and what they will do.
