 3. Paranoia.

 Paranoia is described as a happy feeling that someone or something is out to harm you even when there is no proof of this at all. It can be caused by many factors, including stress and lack of sleep. When narcissists constantly inflict abuse on their partners, this causes them to develop fears and anxieties, which may take time and proper treatments to heal.

 The fears and anxieties you feel throughout the duration of your relationship with the narcissist can go on for months or even years. Oftentimes, people who let their issues go untreated may suffer from paranoid thoughts all their life, even when out of the narcissist’s grasp.

 4. Addiction.

 How does one cope with the narcissist? There are many different ways people may cope with their narcissist’s negative behavior towards them. Some may just bottle their feeling up, some may succumb to their faith and just take it, while others find other coping strategies that would help them deal with their pain.

 Usually, people in a relationship with narcissists lose most of their friends, especially those closest and truest the more a person cares for them, the less likely their friendship with them is going to last when the narcissist comes along.

 Narcissists like keeping you isolated to make you more vulnerable to their schemes. So without their support system, you may find other sources of comfort, such as alcohol, drugs, or work. They may choose to spend most of their time drunk, high, or just drown themselves in work to distract themselves from their hell on earth.
